ORGANIZATION WIDE DEFAULTS(OWD):FOR EVERY ORGANIZATION ,A BASIC LEVEL OF SECURITY IS PREDEFINED & IS SPECIFIED THROUGH "OWD"
SHARING RULES
THERE ARE DIFFERENT WAYS TO OVERRIDE OWD SETTINGS.
MOST POPULAR MECHANISM IS SHARING RULES
USING SHARING RULES WE CAN SPECIFY WHICH RECORD CAN BE ACCESSED BY WHICH USER AND IN WHICH MODE.
SHARING RULES ALSO PROVIDES SECURITY FOR GROUPS.
PERMISSIONS IN SHARING RULES:
A)PRIVATE----ONLY OWNER OF THE RECORD CAN ACCESS IT.
B)PUBLIC READ----OTHER MEMBERS IN GROUP CAN ONLY READ DATA.
C)PUBLIC READ/WRITE----OTHER MEMBERS IN GROUP CAN CREATED AND EDIT DATA.
D)PUBLIC READ/WRITE/TRANSFER-----PERMISSION CAN BE TRANSFER.
